Making of: Classic Mario T-shirt.

A Classic in the Making.

We love simplicity, we also love Mario - who doesn't? When we designed the Classic Mario T-shirt that was what we were after. Following that theme we'll keep this post short and to the point as we show you a little behind-the-scenes production of the T-shirt itself.

The inspiration came from the original Japanese Super Famicom packaging, that featured the console drawn in as few lines as possible, in the now famous SNES colours. It was as striking then as it is today, and a statement of the worth of Mario to the console.

Purchase: Mario Kart 7

Mario Kart 7 speedy release

Our hearts are racing!

Essential purchase for the weekend. I must say, after the eventful year the 3DS has had I wasn't really excited for this to begin with. The speed in which it was announced and its fast release date left me wondering if the series was in trouble, or at the risk of getting stale.

Initially looking like a blend of both Mario Kart DS (love) and Mario Kart Wii (not so), I'm glad to see it has progressed to have an identity of its own. We had the chance to play it for a little while at the Eurogamer Expo in September, and it felt sharp, just like the DS version before. Sorted.

Making of: Anniversary Legend 25th T-shirt.

The Story of Stories.

This year, 2011 is the 25th Anniversary of the Legend of Zelda series – spanning 18 games and 11 consoles – and it doesn't look like it's going to be finished anytime soon. It's a series that's seen a lot of change in the gaming industry, and the world at large, but remains in the heart of many gamers, as the ultimate adventure – a story of stories.

The Art of Screenshots

Stunning captures from some of Video Game's finest games.

Recently a couple of visual blogs have caught our attention by doing one thing really well – posting screenshots. We're not talking the standard screen-grabs we're used to seeing in reviews and forums, these are more artistic than anything we've seen before.
